Dr. Tyson from Stockton wants you to know that you should take your kiddo for their first dental visit at the age of 1 or when their first tooth pops out! #dentalhealth A fun fact about Dr. Tyson is that she has two beautiful twins!

PREPARING YOUR CHILD WITH AUTISM FOR THEIR DENTAL VISIT If you are a parent of a child with autism, dental visits can be intimidating for the both of you. Here are some tips from Dr. Declet on how you can help your kiddo prepare for their visit: DURING THEIR VISIT: - If your child is sensitive to certain stimuli, let our staff know so we can work a way around those and avoid any triggers. - Bring sun glasses to help your child cope with the bright lights or some noise cance...ling headphones to help them out with the loud noises. - To handle the anxiety levels you can allow your child to bring their favorite toy, fidget toy or weighted blanket. BEFORE THEIR VISIT: -Watch videos or read books that talk about the dental experience. -Practice the dental visit at home by sitting in a recliner, putting their hands on their tummy and using toy dental instruments.
