Recognizing National Sons Day. It doesn’t get any better than these 2 guys here. Courtney and I are blessed and thankful to call them our sons. KJ and Keith, keep putting out good energy and it will come back to you tenfold in unexpected ways.

Game18. UCIRVINE. We fought hard, but still came up short. I have to give a shout out to my wife, she works, trains for a 1/2 marathon, takes care of the household, and still manages to make everyone of Keith’s games. Just to make sure he has someone that truly has his back. Her drive and determination to support our family never ever cease to amaze me. Keith continue to keep your head up, even when you don’t understand the reason. Don’t ever let bad people or bad experiences keep you from being happy. Your greatest test will be how you handle people who have mishandled you. Continue to look up in the stands and when you see your mom or I, just know we had to move many mountains to get there,but that never stops us from being by you and brothers side.

Game12 at Cal Poly and Game13 at San Diego State. Supporting keith in this crazy game of basketball. Our job is not worry about the score, rebounds,wins or losses or the coaches. Our job is to support him through the good days and the tough days. Keith remember you will always have 2 people in the gym that love you unconditionally. Never let anyone disturb your peace, trust the process and continue your journey.

Happy Holidays from the Smith Family. Today was full of basketball and laughter, love and good food, but more importantly it’s the memories we leave our children. It’s the greatest legacy we can ever leave them. We were missing KJ, but we know that he’s living his best life, and doing what he loves. We hope are kids continue to find joy in the journey. Hey Friends and Family so many of you have been asking about my health, and where I am on the kidney transplant list. I usually don’t talk about this process. However with the support of my wife and boys they encourage me to share this journey because it may help someone else going through the same process. I’m currently at the top of the list and have been preparing for the surgery that could happen anytime this year, meaning my Dr said I could get a call tomorrow, next week..., 6months. So I’m preparing for that call. This has not been an easy process, but once again with the help from my wife and boys, they continue making sure that I’m on top of my meds, diet, exercise. If you know my wife she reads everything and continues to make sure we will be ready for that call when it comes. During the pass 6years I continue to believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13 Once again thanks for your checking in. See more

Celebrating my moms 84th bday with my wife, and long time friend and basketball family Anna Tarkanian, Myron Tarkanian. It was great listening to them tell stories about my dad playing the game he loved with Jerry Tarkanian.

Happy 23rd anniversary to my beautiful wife. She’s been by my side thru thick and thin , sickness and health. I’m so blessed to have her as my wife. I thank God for her everyday that I’m able to spend with her. She continues to challenge herself by training for a marathon, working crazy hours, traveling every week to see our son play ball, never missing any of my Dr Appts. Between her and my boys, they are the reason I continue fighting this crazy kidney disease. I can’t wait to spend many more anniversaries with you. Love you always.

There’s nothing like watching your kids live out there dreams. Kj is still coaching in Brazil, Keith is living his best life, on and off the court.
