How does a tannery fit two lifesize bear, a large lifesize bison, three deer hides, and an antelope hide in one small box.

Prepping late tonight to mount these two monsters. Both are from the same hunter.

I’m still putting together a trip to Africa in mid-June or so. Cost would depend on what you get but $5k would probably get the hunt costs covered for 5-7 pretty decent animals. Food and lodging would be included. Shipping hides back would run $1000-1500 depending and flights are about $900 right now. Let me know if you are interested. I’m only wanting to include 3 to 5 people so the numbers are low. The area we are hunting is pretty large but will mostly be hunting around water holes and I plan on taking my bow but you can use a rifle there of theirs or bring your own.

Two hogs just finished up. One super large b&w one and one very unusual pig that was born with one ear.

I got this tiger in from 1941 for a restoration. The mouth had the real teeth and jaw but the teeth were all broken up and the mouthmade of plasterwas cracked along with the cracked and broken nose. I had to carefully take out and Chipaway the old mouth and reinforce everything and replace it all.

Got these dropped off August 29 of THIS year. Quick turnaround. They were from Bitterwater Ranch with Clayton Grant.

Getting to work on something very few California taxidermists ever get in their shops.

With the closure of so much of the state to hunting this season, I’m sure many of you are looking to get out there sometime. I’m planning a trip to Africa in late June. Let me know if you are interested. Much more fun with friends.

The life of a taxidermist. I almost never do this anymore, but sometimes I literally put my blood and sweat into my work.
