Kern Down Syndrome Network (Kern DSN) is celebrating our fifth year serving our community this year, and our priority remains the health and well-being of our community. As a result of the uncertainty surrounding the global pandemic of the COVID-19 Virus and our county and state’s decision to not hold events of over 250 people, we will postpone our 2nd Annual Walk for a Million Dreams until October 3, 2020 to kick off Down Syndrome Awareness Month. . We are committed to fol...lowing the safety and health procedures outlined by local and state health officials, and we know, first-hand, the anxiety that our loved ones’ health can cause us. . If you’ve already begun building your team, it can remain active through the October walk. If you haven’t made one yet, it’s never too late, or too early, to form one for our walk. . Thank you for your support, patience, and understanding as we all navigate these fast changing times. . Be well, and be healthy, Kern Down Syndrome Network Leadership Team Amber, Lettie, and Kelly

Kern Down Syndrome Network is continuing to keep our community safe by postponing our Walk for a Million Dreams until World Down Syndrome Day, Sunday, March 21, 2021. We recognize that holding the event in March is optimistic, and we may need to postpone again, but we are hopeful that when we can safely celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome together, that you and your team will be there with us. Stay safe, Kern Down Syndrome Network Leadership Team

So grateful to @MayaCinemas for supporting @KernDSN with #POPCORNPICKUP #KernDSN is our local #DownSyndrome family organization, and #COVID has complicated our outreach and fundraising, like so many organizations. If you are in #Bakersfield in Friday or Saturday between 2-6, use the Maya Cinema app and order your #FamilyPack and treats for dinner... Tag us with a #KDSNPopcornPickup and we can spread awareness and buttery popcorn joy around Kern County.
