Closures scheduled for 24th Street intersection paving next week Paving operations will be underway for all intersections along 24th Street between E Street and M Street next week. This work will require closures on the south side of intersections and nighttime lane closures from Monday, July 20 through Thursday, July 23.... The contractor will close the south side of the 24th Street intersections at D Street, E Street, G Street, K Street and Eye Street on Monday to advance grinding operations. These intersections will remain closed around-the-clock until paved. Businesses located along the south side of 24th Street will be accessible from 23rd Street. Motorists can cross 24th Street from adjacent side streets Nighttime lane closures will also be in effect on 24th Street between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., each night. One lane will remain open to westbound traffic while work is underway. During daytime hours, all westbound lanes on 24th Street will be open to traffic. The planned intersection schedule follows: Monday, July 20 D Street, F Street and Eye Street Tuesday, July 21 E Street, Bay Street and H Street Wednesday, July 22 G Street, K Street, and L Street Thursday, July 23 Chester Avenue and M Street
