Pour a big glass of your favorite white or red - we made it through another week, friends. (Yes, it's Friday.) Is it just us or do we seem to be going through bottles of wine at home faster than normal? Cheers to a weekend of daydreaming about trips to wine country.

When your home becomes your office (... and your daycare, yoga studio, bakery, date night location, hairdresser, coffee shop, meal prep area, and your kids' classroom ...) it's important to find ways to "get away" right at home. This week, we encourage you to try setting up a new spot where you can sit and enjoy a break (other than the couch) for your own little Kenwood Inn happy hour! Can you move some chairs outside? Can you set up in the driveway? Maybe there is a sm...all balcony in your apartment? If the weather isn't great, move your kitchen chairs or stools to a new room! Anything to make it feel new and different. Even if your happy hour is just a half an hour - change it up a little and treat yourself to a mini-getaway in your own home. It will be a fun way to change things up after a few weeks cooped up with every room now serving as a "multipurpose" room. Don't forget to enjoy your experience with some Sonoma County wine and our favorite Laura Chenel goat cheese (and that homemade bread you likely made this weekend.) Cheers!

Self-care has arguably never been more important. Our normal lives have been interrupted and uprooted. It is critical to take time for yourself - to relax, reflect, escape, and even to find moments of bliss. We are dreaming of the day when we can once again offer guests an escape from stress and uncertainty at our spa. In the meantime, we encourage you to bring the essence of the Spa at Kenwood to your home by indulging in this DIY bath soak mixture. While your tub at home ma...y not exactly be your dream retreat, put on some gentle music, close your eyes, and envision yourself in this tub in the heart of wine country. It just might do the trick. Ingredients: 1 cup Epsom Salt 1 tbsp Baking Soda 3 drops Lemon Essential Oil (or a squeeze of lemon) 1 drop Blue Food Coloring (optional) Lemon Slices (optional) Mix ingredients together in a small bowl saving the lemon slices for the top of the bath. Begin to fill your tub with warm water and gently pour in the salt mixture, mixing gently with your hand as the tub fills. Finish with lemon slices on top.
