A beautiful friend of mine is having a birthday today but there is no celebration, jubilation or congratulation. My beautiful friend had a biopsy on her birthday... One here, another one there a third near the heart. ... A heart of gold. A soul so kind. A spirit so free. Clouded by biopsy. We’ve heard it before, life is not fair and sometimes bad things happen to good people. But this goes beyond into the cruel, it cuts like razors and burns like fuel. An angelic voice is not singing today, her wings held in tight with no room to play. The sun isn’t shining, the skies are gray, it has been raining all day. Everyone sits next to their post, waiting for word and praying to the holy host. Each feels helpless in there own little way, wanting to do more, searching for words to say. So while the angels are crying on this blustery birthday day... Say a prayer for my friend who had her biopsy today.
