It’s pretty gratifying to look back on our photoshoot with @laurencatephoto (only two months ago!) and see artworks that have since found homes We are so grateful to our local collectors who have supported the gallery - not only through sales, but encouragement, enthusiasm, and spreading the word! Hard work has never felt so good We can’t wait to start hosting events this spring to meet new faces and tell the stories of our artists.

Chris Gwaltney's new Liminal series focuses on transitions - a space occupying both sides of a threshold. Moving from figurative into abstraction has been challenging, but the common theme of conversations in color has remained the same. We are proud to be representing Chris' works and sharing them with our local community! . . . .... . . . . #shoplocal #orangecounty #newportbeach #interiordesign #contemporaryart #emergingartists #ilovemyjob #artgallery #artgalleries #artworks #costamesa #newportbeach #communityinspired #localart #chrisgwaltney See more

We are pleased to announce our newest artist - Jon Setter! Setter’s work is part of an ongoing exploration that attempts to reveal the unseen aspects that shape how we experience urban spaces and architecture. Often working with subjects discovered by chance on walks, he documents the unnoticed details that most people rush past. Setter methodically organises the repeated colours, patterns, materials and textures of the urban vernacular to develop an abstracted expression of space. His hope is to decelerate our daily consciousness - to cut through the chaos of our urban surroundings and present them as simple and clean compositions that help us better understand the spaces we inhabit. Please visit our website for pricing and available works.

Morning studio visits with local artist, Chris Gwaltney. Balancing between abstraction and figurative, the works of Chris Gwaltney are evocative, luminous, and lush. He balances color with unexpected washes and scribbles; scraping physically from the surface as he generously slaps paint onto the canvas.

Ever wondered what an artist's studio looks like? For Elyse Katz, it's a whirlwind of beautiful new works in their various stages - an untouched wood panel, initial layers, working stage, and finally complete. We are so thrilled to be representing such a talented artist!

Inspired by the endless horizons of the Netherlands and North Germany, Nicole Egert’s atmospheric seascapes are soft and studied glimpses into passing moments. The untouched nature and wild stillness brings her again and again to seeking out nature and its inspirations. Love this work? All available artworks and information is here on our website: https://kennedycontemporary.com/
