A KVUSD employee has tested positive for COVID-19. We have informed all of those who came into contact with this person, which unfortunately included some KVUSD students. The affected staff member is currently in quarantine and will return to work once Public Health determines it is safe to do so. As always, we wish our COVID-positive colleague a speedy recovery.

We are so excited to see students back on campus. It is wonderful to see our students’ smiling eyes above the masks as they greeted each other and their teachers in person! Here are some students at Kelseyville Elementary in Ms. Goff's classroom.

Lake County Public Health Director Dr. Gary Pace has given us permission to open our K-5 schools in a hybrid model. Currently, the county is below the 28 per 100,000 COVID positivity rate. As such, we plan to welcome our elementary school students, grades K-5 back to campus on March 9. When Lake County reaches the Red Tier, we will be allowed to open our secondary schools, grades 6-12. A date will be determined once we hit the Red Tier. For more information, go to www.kvusd.org/District/138734-Parent-Communication.html.
