‘What We Find in the Night’ premiers this weekend at @mysff. You can buy tickets now on their site! I am truly honored to be able to call the folks who contributed to this film my collaborators. Many of my crew are like family to me and I hope to be making movies with them for the rest of my life. I hope sooner than later. For me it’s often difficult to express more of myself beside just posting a couple of screengrabs every once in a while. But for me and my team, our only ...goal is to make movies and tell stories that change people’s lives. We are very much aspiring filmmakers. Any support you can give to this film as a stepping stone to longer-form projects would be invaluable to us. Joshua Bassett ‘Only a Matter of Time’ Story time: We went to Utah to shoot a couple of live in-studio videos with Joshua. It was rare to be in a situation with just the artist and my small team and the music. Driving to the studio we crossed these really cool train tracks with a huge industrial plant in the background. For months I had been wanting to do single-take video with the purpose of simply watching an artist perform their song. I pitched that we should shoot somethi...ng on the tracks in this style to Joshua and I was so excited when said that we should do this with "Only a Matter of Time." I gotta be honest, I hate most gimmicky performance music videos. I think if you're going to do a performance-based video, it's best to put a camera in front of the artist's face and let them tell a story. I can't thank @joshuatbassett enough for his trust and for telling a great story.
