I'm always fascinated by the short sightedness of people in business. Since my crews are busy on other projects I hired a hardwood floor installer for our own home. It was someone my Mom and a neighbor had used in the past and were happy. Part of the job was removing carpet from 2 rooms. After looking at the carpet on my front porch for several days I asked him when he was going to take it to the dump. He replied that he does not do that because he has tools in his truck. On ...top of this he filled up my trash can 6 days before trash day without asking so I had nowhere to put my trash. After sanding the floors he left 2 large bags of sawdust in my backyard as a gift. When we started the job I made room in my garage for the furniture. His guys said they would rather put it on the back patio because obviously that would be easier on them. They said they would cover it with plastic but did a really crappy job on that. For the icing on the cake I asked him when they would be back to put the furniture inside he said I could do it because I am a strong guy and have strong friends. Little does this jackass know what I do for a living and how many referrals he would have received had he done a good job at customer service. The guy that did a great job on my pool was watching the floor job and asked me to let him know how it went as he was ready to do his floors. Guess who isn't getting that job?
