Awana program suspended for the remainder of the 2019/2020 school year. Updated info below.
Updated information. A reminder we are taking a Spring Break March 17th, no club that night.
The VBS scheduled for next week has been canceled as of today. We are sorry, but the church in Cupertino is taking precautions due to the recent concerns with the CoronaVirus.
We will be playing games inside tonight due to the rain. Also a reminder that next week, 3/17/020, there is no Awana Club. We will be taking a break and returning March 24th.
Bundle up for game time tonight. It’s going to be cold outside.
Awana returns Tuesday January 14th at 6:00PM. Make sure to keep up to date with news and events on our website, www.kingcitybiblechurch.org
This Tuesday’s Awana night, Dec 10th, we are playing Hide and Seek inside the church during game time. Clubbers can bring their own flashlights if the want to. This will be the last Awana Club meeting for December. We return in January.
We had four parents out of the many requested respond to our survey. At this point, with only three families wanting club to continue online, we feel it would be best to wait and see when we can gather again before exploring the idea of starting Awana club up again. Thank you to the parents who participated. If you have questions you can reach Commander Bruce at [email protected]. Thank you.
Reminder to dress warm for Awana tonight. If there is no rain, games will be outside.
Christianaudio.com has free audio books each month. Check out September’s free book by clicking the link below. This is a really good and free resource.
We are trying the survey again, we emailed parents who we have on file and will text a few others. The last survey only got one answer but that may be due to the Facebook algorithm and because our Facebook page has not been active. If you want to help out with the survey you can find it below.
Our friends at Grace Lutheran Church are holding a virtual VBS July 6th thru 10th. They will have YouTube videos that can be viewed at any time. They will be posted on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gracelckc/ on their website: https://www.gracelc.com/ and on their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ5LNWzbvK-z1yGX3tBZsuA . Parents can register their children at: http://www.gracelc.com/vbs . For children who just finished Kindergarten up through Fifth Grade. The first 30 kids to register will receive a free Stay-at-Home pack with goodies to help make the videos more interactive. They will only deliver to local addresses. The Stay-at-Home packs will be prepared and delivered with necessary health guidelines in place to follow social distancing.
Now is a good time to get the free Bible app. https://www.youversion.com/the-bible-app/ It is a wonderful way to study God’s word. You can pick your favorite Bible versions and you can pick great Bible reading plans and devotionals. The app allows you to read or just listen to God’s Word. Invite friends and share reading plans together and discuss what you have read. A new feature in the app allows you to journal your prayers or invite others to share their prayer request...s for a virtual prayer meeting. You can search events and find local events near you. For the kids, there is an equally wonderful free app that I recommend. https://www.youversion.com/the-bible-app-for-kids/ You can explore Bible stories with your child and each story has a fun activity you can do with your child or they can do on their own.
