When it comes to box dye, slow and steady always wins. I tell everyone that you won’t see a major change until the second or third appointment since we can only do as much as the hair allows us to do. Although it’s slow, the results will be long lasting. I tell people I can get you blonde in one session with box dye, but we will have to cut it all off anyways because it’ll all melt. Trusting the process is key. Trust me when I say, I want you to be blonde! One of my favorite (and least favorite) things about doing hair is that it always looks different in different lighting. We took these photos at night so this photo solely depended on the slightly yellow lighting we have at the salon overhead and gives the impression of a beautiful wheat color. Happy Saturday!! Today is (almost) every hairstylist’s Friday. On Sundays we get to decompress, visit with friends & family, and game plan for the upcoming week. I might only speak for myself, but I’m always mentally at work. Coming up with new ideas, taking classes, and visiting the beauty supply is my norm. Every once in a while I have to put down my phone and be present. I often find myself texting clients late into the night, during dinners, or on my days off. It’s so hard to disconnect when you TRULY love what you do!! But anyways, happy Saturday everyone. Hoping you all are having a fun & safe weekend.

Would you believe me if I told you my client came to me with a band of almost black color in her hair? It’s true, swipe to see! She had an oops at a salon right before shut down and couldn’t get it fixed in time. She had to resort to box dye (but can you blame her?!). No worries, we fixed her up. No more black band & she was left with a color that will keep up with her at home with her kiddos or at the hospital helping patients. She’s a real life rockstar.
