Finally got my hands on trying @katsubar after seeing it pop up mi feed so often! I’m so happy that I did because I’ve been always wanting to try these type of egg sandos after watching so many of @mikexingchen’s 7/11 food vlogs iykyk. All the sandos were super fresh and delicious! For the rosemary katsu sando and caprese katsu sando, there was an option to choose between pork or chicken! We picked the pork katsu and it was so light, juicy and crispy! I didn't feel super slu...ggish after eating it even though I usually get hit with food coma pretty hard after eating fried food LOL. There was also a berry spread on the sando, which gave it a sweet and savory mix! My favorite between the two was the caprese cause I’m a sucker for cheese! The dill egg salad sandwich had a nice soft boiled egg along with a generous portion of egg filling. I do recommend ordering a couple sandos with friends so yall are able to try a little bit of everything! Service was really nice despite them also being so busy. The wait was longer than I expected (but I didn't really mind cause coming from someone that worked in the restaurant industry i understand how busy it can get). The employee that was working the front mentioned to me that they were short staffed that day and was so kind to give us drinks on the house due to the wait. Drinks included sparkling yuzu and organic banana milk. My bf absolutely loved the yuzu drink. So much that he couldn’t even wait til after my photo. It was super refreshing and a nice way to end the meal. Def looking forward to coming back and trying their sandwiches!! Watching all these food YouTubers eat in Japan had me craving for some katsu sandos I finally got to try @katsubar and the only disappointment was them not being here when I had lived in Cerritos! I tried the Rosemary Katsu Sando, the Portobello Katsu Sando, and the Dill Egg Salad Sando. All 3 sandos were divine, but my favorite was the Portobello one! I'm in love with the sando I wanted to try their egg salad sando so bad and it definitely did not disappoint! The egg salad was so light and fluffy and delicious I really thought nothing could top that but I actually really loved their caprese katsu sando which was just the perfect combination of all the ingredients the caprese was really soft and satisfying to bite into and, of course, it went really well with the katsu and the tomatoes Also their banana milk is SO g...ood, they use real bananas in it and the flavor is on point! I love that we have the same favorite foods Ahhh the original katsu sando really hit the spot! Nothing can beat Japan’s tonkatsu sandwiches (or even our homemade tonkatsu sandwiches ), but these were definitely the next best thing! Best tonkatsu sandwich that we have tried from any LA/OC restaurant thus far.
