NESTING MODE ON After wrapping up an eventful weekend of wedding, appointments & team trainings, this mama to be is officially on maternity leave! Our baby girl is expected soon and it’s time to slow down, be present and enjoy the last few weeks of feeling her in my belly. Tbh, I’ve always worked in some capacity, so slowing down is a new concept for me. We’ll see how long I last being away from work. While I will not be taking any appointments during my leave, my team ...of artists are still available to assist with bridal hair & makeup as well as special event hair & makeup. Collaboration at its best!! It was definitely a fun filled day with all good vibes. I always believe in community+ collaboration > competition. There’s so much room for everyone to win in this industry. I’ve learned through my career that having relationships with others in y...our community lead to much more joy & fulfillment. Having a hard time deciding if an updo is best suited for your wedding day? Don’t worry, Amy, our Master Hairstylist, got some tips for you! We get asked all the time by brides during the previews if they should consider an updo... while we always recommend going with a hairstyle that you feel most comfortable in, here are some things to consider if updo is a right fit for you! 1Your wedding dress design and style! We’re pretty sure you’ve spent a good amount of money and t...ime searching for THE perfect dress... so you should always consider how your hairstyle would compliment your dress. You don't want to cover beautiful details on the back of the dress or sleeves, especially those hand beaded & stitched laces. No doubt your guests will be watching from all angles! After all, it’s your show, so make sure you own that catwalk 2 Season of the year & climate. Updos are great for all weddings seasons again, it’s all just a personal preference! However, updos can work best for Summer & Fall. For hot Summer weather, don’t have to worry about the sweat messing up your beautiful hair and filling icky between your neck & hair. (Yuck, we hate that feeling too!) Plus, you get the breeze flowing through your neck! For Fall weather , it can get a little messy with the wind blowing your hair all in your face!
