Women often ask me ‘How the fuck will I push a baby out of my body? Like seriously... HOW?’ Well, let me tell ya, it’s got nothing to do with your due date or t...he hospital induction policy. These details mean jack in birth. Because, my amazing friend, you are born to fucking birth. You will literally birth with EVERY fiber of your being. Every cell. Every synapse. Every muscle. Every heart beat. You will call on the strength of the woman who have birthed before you. The strength of your mother, your grandmother, your great-grandmother, and her mother before her. You will call in their energy when you need it most. You will draw on every time you were told ‘No’, and you will roar ‘YEESSS!’. You will be so deep in your zone that you will be unstoppable. A fireball of power and purpose. And when your baby is out on your chest, you will first-pump the air and say ‘I did it. I fucking did it!’. And you will lie back and wonder why we don’t talk about birth in exultant powerful terms. Because we should. We should inspire the next generation of birthing women to trust in their birthing bodies. We should rave about our ability to birth new life. Because we seriously fucking rock.
