Occupational Hazard #26: Showed my Dream Home today. (I have to remind myself, I’m lucky just to be a part of an industry where I can live vicariously, until I can live it authentically).

Yesterday was so fun .... handing out pies to our friends, family and clients! I think it was 75 pies, in total ... so great to be able to wish people a Happy Thanksgiving in person, with masks, gloves and social distancing of course. Only one more reason why I LOVE being a part of The Monday Team!

My Buyers were eager to find more space for a home office but were intimidated by Bay Area prices. Luckily within just a few weeks they found a home that checked off all their boxesand I helped them compete with and beat out several other buyers. Congrats to all!

My One Thing (or I guess ‘Two’ things )
These days, it varies quite a bit ....
A day in my life .... When you have to explain to your client that, yes, indeed, that is what the Seller considered a 1/2 bath (photo) ...... And yes, indeed, homes in Oakland are going 20% over the list price ..... And the every day question WHY are homes listed at one price, when the expectation is way more? .... Because the East Bay is a super hot market, and we have been low on inventory for years - so the competition among Buyers has driven the prices up 20% ove...r list .... if we listed at where we think it will go, Buyers will think 20% over that!!?? Forget it. Until we get about 100% more inventory, and we can adjust to a less competitive market, this is the way it is. (I’ve been having repetitive dreams about this dialog - so just had to get it out there. ). BTW, I love being a Realtor. Period.
