Shoutout to Trey Arzen who out of the huge 43 driver field at the ICP Cup in the jr2 206 had the fastest time in practice, qualified P2 and finished the main in 3rd with it starting to hail. He was piloting the CompKart Covert 4r running our specified chassis setup. Nice work Tr3y. We ship and build karts all over USA in fact we will be doing another 4r build for a driver out of Seattle who will also be racing the ICP Cup in Sr 206.

Good day at Blue Max Kart Club. Andrew Kemp qualifies P1 in KPV-100 SR/MST and finished first in class. David Bixler now has his second race under his belt in his new CompKart and we made a few minor chassis adjustments on Saturday which gave him P1 qualifying in Master 206 and the win for the Day. Also thanks to Robert Meltzer for the 100 motors he leant out. #compkart @compkart @j3competition @bluemaxkartclub

First round of the 2019 KPX Championship is in the books and as always it was a fun event. We’ve been so busy around here this is a late post from the March 16th race. As is the usual the first round brought us to the beautiful Shasta track which also happens to be our nemesis track. It’s the first big race on a very grippy and bumpy track and many times for clients it’s the first race on a new package or motor making getting up to speed harder. Andrew Kemp came out with the ...win in Masters KA-100 and Jack Arluck finished second in SuperMasters KA-100 for the both of them this weekend was their first time in their new karts with KA-100. All of our KA-100 motors were done by SwedeTech Racing and thank you for the support. David Bixler also has his first voyage in his new CompKart running masters 206. He was able to adapt quickly, unfortunately a racer spun out in front causing him to fall back but in the main he got the hard charger award and was running close times to the leaders even with no draft. Harrison mills also had a bit of bad luck on qualifying his battery box was ripped off on the track which meant he had to start the race in the very back, he also got the hard charger award gaining 11 spots in the first race and running the second fastest time of the main making his way up to the very lead pack with several laps to go a racing incident took him out. Til next time, Shasta track we will meet again next year! @compkart @j3competition @swedetech_racing #compkart #kartingconcepts #briggs206 #ka100 #kpxkarting See more

KPX round 2 race report. Dean Pinten, what can I say he stepped away from asphalt karting a few years ago and had an amazing comeback in jr KA He practiced on the 4r chassis for 1 day a few weeks prior and had to miss the race weekend practice since he was racing on dirt. He shows up on race day we make a few minor changes and he qualifies 6th out of a large field, another pound of pressure and would have been on front row. Honestly I think it was cooler that he qualified wh...ere he did because he worked his way up smoothly and made many awesome passes that really opened some jr eyes finishing 2nd. Andrew Kemp did double duty and qualified P1 in 206 masters and P2 in KA100 masters. While leading the heat race his throttle got stuck causing an off track excursion resulting in him starting from the back in the main he worked his way up to mid pack but couldn’t get around the others on the tight track. On 206 masters Andrew finished P1 in the heat race and P4 in the main. He was a little overstuck in heat 1 so what better time to test an axle we’ve never done but at the main starting on Pole. The kart was free but a little to free to begin with and he fell back a few spots. Jack Arluck qualified 7th after having some carb tuning issues and worked his way up the pack. He got tangled up mid race and dropped a chain resulting in starting from the back in the main. He made up some spots but we needed a bit less gear to make a move at the end of turn 1. Jack and I will be learning the data together to better understand these KA’s. David Bixler has now had his second kpx race on the CompKart and we are still doing some testing to get the chassis exactly where he likes it. He was top 3 in practice the day before but on race day we learned he had a clutch failure that kept the engine from spooling up on such a tight track. Clutch will be fixed and expect to see him up front at the next one. As always we had a fun time and will prep for the next one.

I gotta say I am super stoked about this CompKart 4r build we finished today and feeling kinda special. Geoff Clark drove 25 hours round trip from Washington so I could personally fit him for his seat and pedals. I’ve shipped karts across the USA but this is by far the furthest someone has come for a chassis. Look for Geoff up front in Sr 206 at the ICP Cup. There is also another 4r chassis that is currently in shipping and will also be going to Washington for the ICP jr 206 class. Geoff is a Rally Car driving instructor and just getting into karting so he’s got the talent and as rare as it his his fiancée is the one who got him involved in karting. Thanks Geoff it was great spending the day with you!
