Some great information regarding mortgage relief options. Take the time to read if you are currently affected financially by the shelter at home mandates or if you know of anyone who needs this information at this time
The Government has created the CARE Act, to assist homeowners whose income may have been adversely impacted by the coronavirus. One of the components of the CARE Act is the possibility of mortgage forbearance. Forbearance is often misinterpreted. And while it is intended to help, it can have some dangerous repercussions. Many people are mistakenly thinking that forbearance equals forgiveness. It does not. Forbearance means that the payments will be suspended for a short perio...d of time, initially up to 6 months, but will need to be caught up when the forbearance period is over. Think about when you buy something at a furniture store that offers no payments for 3 months. You still must pay for the furniturethe payments are just deferred. But mortgage forbearance is even worse if the borrower has dug themselves in a deep hole and can’t catch up. Should this happen, the lender will enforce their right to be paid, which may cause the borrower to be foreclosed upon. They could lose all the equity in their home in the process. Forbearance is designed to help those as a measure of last resort. It is not a free pass and may have serious consequences.
Great information on how the Coronavirus has affected the current market!
The feds lowered the discount rate again. Unfortunately the fed rate cut does not directly effect mortgage rates. The discount rate is the cost of interbank borrowing and only effects car loans, credit cards and equity lines. The discount rate cut is to stimulate economic growth, which typically strengthens the economy and results in mortgage rates increasing. Hopefully we will see mortgage rates come back down in the next 30 days or so as banks work through their capacity shortage.
I’m sponsoring this handsome goofball’s adoption! As a few of you know, I lost my beautiful girl Patch to a virus that caused fatal liver failure on 12/30 and w...as absolutely devastated and heartbroken. So I wanted to do something to honor her and to help with my healing. I’ve spent some time at our 3 animal shelters here in Solano County the last few weeks and fell in love with Arlo who’s currently at the Humane Society of North Bay in Vallejo. This is the oldest of the 3 shelters and I am so impressed with the staff and volunteers! They go above and beyond for these animals. I’ve spent many hours with Arlo, taken the boys down to spend time with him and even had a day at my home with him. He is kid and dog friendly, knows his basic commands, sit, stay, lay down, and is so gentle with the twins playing or taking snacks. He’s young, around 2 yrs, very energetic and about 45 lbs. He also thinks he is a lap dog and is so affectionate. This goofball needs a forever family. He will make a loving, playful, loyal family dog. He needs a yard and home that he can run his zoomies in and the only work he needs is some manners while walking. I used a harness to walk him and he was so excited so was pulling hard but absolutely no signs of aggression in this fellow. You only need to do a greet and meet and fill out an application to adopt him. I’ve paid his adoption fee. Humane Society’s phone number is 707-645-7905. And please share this on your FB page! Let’s find him his forever family See more
