Especially hard hit have been the Ginnie Mae securities and Government loan (FHA and VA) pricing. This is due to the unique feature of Ginnie Maes that require payment to the security holder every month, whether or not the mortgage payment is received. Please, everyone, be extremely careful if you are thinking of not paying some of your bills...especially your mortgage and/or rent payments. There have been a lot of talking going around that the government’s stimulus package may have included that foreclosures or evictions are not allowed at this critical time in our history. We must all proceed with extreme caution and take careful steps to protect ourselves from false claims. Working together with your landlord or fin...ancial institution is critical. Most investors realize that working with us is something they need to do. As a very seasoned mortgage banker, I caution you to get things in writing before you miss any payments, whether it be for a mortgage, car payment, student loan, rent or utilities. The agreement must state that any missed payments will not be reflected on your credit report. In other volatile times, we have seen people hurt badly by misinformation in this regard. Thank you.
