We want to thank everyone who made the effort to contribute to our wildfire relief donation drive. Not bad for less than two days of joining together to help members of our extended community in need. We were so deeply moved by the quick response and generosity of so many and feel immensely grateful to be surrounded by such good people who show they care when it matters most. Together, we were able to donate a lot of essential items to the BayMarin Donation Distribution Cent...er which serve many of the evacuee centers as their needs arise. All of the places we called on the drive north were at capacity with physical donations and needed a break from handling drop ins, so we were happy to have found a center in San Rafael that is doing great work to help organize, store, and supply centers as needed. We were also able to donate to the Napa Humane Society and Sonoma Humane Society to help provide free and necessary care to burned, injured, and displaced animals. We also made a donation to the Napa Valley Community Foundation, which was established after the earthquake a few years ago. They join together with other local non-profits and local government to best allocate the funds donated to those most in need of assistance and decide upon efficient recovery efforts collectively. We will be following the needs of our north bay neighbors as the next few weeks unfold and may hold another drive/fundraiser along the way to help with the continual arising needs until (and likely after) the fires are contained. Again, we thank you, wholeheartedly, for your generosity, post shares to spread the word, for your effort, and above all, for your care. Stay well.

Hi everyone! Donation hours for the Napa & Sonoma County Wildfire Victims Donation Drive have been extended this evening until 730pm!! You are welcome to drop off after that as well, up until 1pm tomorrow, but please send us an email to let us know if you do so that we can have someone come down to pick up your package for safe keeping. No used clothing or bedding is being accepted by the donation centers we have spoken to at this time. We will be checking in with the evacue...e centers to get an update on demand at 1pm tomorrow to determine updated drop off locations. We will also be stopping at The Humane Society in Novato to drop off pet food and supplies (carrier crates, leases, dog bowls, collars, etc). Any cash donations of gift cards will go directly to the centers housing and directly helping evacuees and displaced animals. Updates coming tomorrow afternoon. Thank you so much for your contribution efforts and generosity!!

We are renting a uhaul and heading northbound this Sunday to help the victims of this horrific wildfire. We are collecting donations out front at Kanna Spa in San Mateo this weekend on Saturday (1-5pm) and Sunday (10-1pm). Although some evacuee centers are at capacity with generous donations, others can still use the help. We currently plan to make drops at The Quest Church in Novato, The Lighthouse Christian Church in Novato, Salvation Army in Petaluma, and Redwood Empire Fo...od Bank in Santa Rosa. When asked what is needed most, the following was noted: *MONETARY donations and gift cards to purchase supplies and gas as the need comes in. Rolls of quarters are needed for laundry. *New and packaged for sanitary purposes: CLOTHING & *BEDDING: sports bras, underwear, socks, clothing for children, flip flops, sweat pants, blankets, towels, and pillows. *TOILETRIES: Diapers (adult and baby), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand sanitizer, baby lotion, and combs. *FOOD: Non-perishable & packaged items, not home cooked. Healthy READY TO EAT canned foods preferably with a pop top for easy opening. Some examples given: nuts, jerky, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, canned fruits and vegetables, PET FOOD, etc. *PAPER GOODS: Plates, cups, utensils, napkins, etc., (also ziplock bags.) OTHER: Flashlights and batteries. Clothing detergent. (NO GLASS PACKAGING PLEASE.) Please bring items in a labeled box listing the contents so we can easily distribute your generous donations to the appropriate drop off locations.
