Hello everyone, February is the second month, but it might be first in feelings of self-disappointment, particularly if you had a plan to start your fitness routine; and haven’t started yet. How many times have you felt by this point in a new year that it was all going to be a failure that, since you already had dropped a resolution or even forgot to make one, that you were doomed to have another year of unmet healthy living aspirations?... Well, I’m here to keep you from going down that rabbit hole again. You can still have your fittest year yet. You just have to get your mind wrapped around it. 1. As I have said before and will say again, Now is the perfect time to start. Yesterday’s gone, and tomorrow isn’t promised so focus on what you can do today to make better choices and take the right actions. 2. Make a plan, find a coach, and tell one or two other people about it. Accountability is a powerful motivator, it can influence your next move forward. 3. Focus on a process you’ll enjoy, not the goals you’re laboring toward. Start small and grow from there. This is more about consistency and steady progress. 4. Make a list of why you want to be fit as long or as short a list as you like and keep it handy for those times when you’re discouraged. 5. Look at the future as endless opportunities to live a better life, not a litany of chores and false resolutions. Fitness is a lifestyle, not a resolution. It’s a commitment to yourself, and that shouldn’t change because of the calendar. Last tip: The success I see from others right now is not just from a good program, a knowledgeable coach, or a nice studio; it’s about the connection with yourself knowing once and for all the why behind it. You got this! Kipp Coach & Mentor P.S. We just launched our 1st nutrition challenge of the year. Want to participate? Click below or DM me.

My Valentine’s Day wish for you Greetings everyone, Instead of sending you candy, I’d like to express a few Valentine’s Day wishes in a healthier way. ... It’s a day not just to express love for a significant other, but it’s also a day to express admiration and appreciation for other incredible people in our lives. And that’s you guys, Whether you’re currently working with me, you’ve worked with me in the past, or thinking of working with me is simply on your radar but you haven’t taken the first step yet, I want you to know that I APPRECIATE you so very much. It’s not every day that I get to work with people who want to make improvements to their lives, but also, have trust in me to guide and mentor you. Time is our most precious gift. So, you might be spending a few hours a week coaching with me or simply a few minutes a week reading my posts or emails Either way, I want you to know how much I value you and the time you give me. I think it’s incredibly important to show appreciation. We live in a world that’s becoming faster paced and less connected by the day. Technology, social media, and our busy lives dictate what gets our energy and attention instead of the things that matter. So, in honor of Valentine’s Day, I’d love for you to join me in doing 3 things: 1. Tell all of the important people in your life how much they matter to you and how much you appreciate them. 2. Get clear on what really matters to you so you can make it a priority instead of getting lost in the chaos of life. 3. Choose one person in your life that you know really needs to receive a supportive message of appreciation today and share this post with them. So, for all of you, (past & present) I hope you have the most wonderful and fulfilling Valentine’s Day! Communicate with the people who matter most to you. And again, thank you for sharing this space on your social media with me. To what’s important in your life, Kipp KALFIT Coach & Mentor

On love & food Greetings everyone, a short post regarding our connection with food. Enjoy, I hope you and family are well. From Thanksgiving dinner {my favorite) to Valentine’s chocolates, what do all holidays have in common?... Yep, you guessed it; Food! We humans have an innate connection between love and food, whether it’s family gathered around a turkey dinner or romance on February 14. Your Mom showed her love by making sure you were well fed. You take dates to dinner to impress them. You bring a lover breakfast in bed. Enough, already! Can’t we find healthier ways to express love and celebrate? I know that it is so easy to just buy or do something food related, and not do the deep meaningful things that not only build your relationship, but reinforces a good a good habit and eliminates a false behavior. And since its February, let’s think about ways to do it for Valentine’s Day. Instead of focusing on consumption, what if we focused on things like: 1. Creativity writing a love letter, create a card, read poetry. 2. Attention truly being present for our relationships, instead of being so distracted much of the time. (Here’s a hint: No cell phones at dinner.) Make this a new habit. 3. Physical intimacy however you choose to express it in a particular relationship. Hold hands, massage, play footie; etc. 4. Presents that don’t involve stuffing ourselves. 5. Communication share exactly how you feel. Emotions are real, share them. How will you express your love this Valentine’s Day? I challenge you to find a way that doesn’t involve food! To celebrating Love, Kipp Coach & Mentor P.S. Would there be an interest to train together? We would love to host a personalized session. Small things matter Sometimes we need a moment to step away from the "big picture" and focus on the little things, the important things, and those seemingly trivial things that need our attention . . . right now. Usually, it’s the "little" things that are generally not difficult . . . they just take a little extra time and demand a little extra effort. ...Continue reading

You are what you believe. So, what is your underlying reality? Author Carol Dweck has shown that common students who hold the belief that they are capable of developing even their most basic characteristics, tend to do just that.Your belief, your actual belief in something is why you grow and move forward. But why should a belief work? Believing in the tooth fairy doesn’t make them real. Believing I’ll win the lotto this weekend won’t make winning any more likely. And if I...Continue reading

Built-In Accountability FACT: A study in Prevention Magazine found that 94% of couples stuck to their workout plan when they did it together. People who are he...ld accountable for their workout routine are more likely to be successful. And who better to hold you accountable than the person who knows you best? When you only have to answer to yourself, you’re more likely to skip a workout if you’re having a bad day or not feeling motivated. But letting your partner motivate you and keep you accountableand vice versacan bring you closer and ensure you get a killer workout in. Motivate each other and encourage each other and you’ll feel more positive about your workouts and your partner. Kudos to our "Power Couple" for setting this example!!

You know those times in life when things feel really tough? You feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone, and you wonder whether or not you’re strong enough to ha...ndle it. Maybe an issue at home is exhausting, a dynamic at work isn’t getting better, or you’re grieving the loss of someone dear. Sometimes things just seem too much to handle. If this is you, and you’re doubting your strength, you’re in the right place. You were meant to hear this message today. You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them. Maya Angelou Daring greatly is being brave and afraid every minute of the day at the exact same time. Brene Brown Where there is no struggle, there is no strength. Oprah One small crack does not mean that you are broken. It means that you were put to the test and you didn’t fall apart. Linda Poindexter It’s important to remember that we all have magic inside of us.JK Rowling The hardest step she ever took was to blindly trust in who she was. Atticus What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And when you bring what is within out into the world, miracles happen. Henry David Thoreau If you’re ready to throw in the towel, unsure if you can handle what life is throwing your way, you can. You’re stronger than you think. And I believe in you. Always remember, Strength doesn’t mean you’re not afraid. It doesn’t mean you have all the answers. It means you have the ability to keep going, putting one foot in front of the other, even when fear and doubt say you can’t.
