N.O.W. Tip: Another awesome way to save on food waste is start a compost! Not all of us have a backyard, but if you do maybe you can start a compost! Americans waste 150,000 tons of food A DAY! Since us Kaia girls eat a plant based diet, we could put those scraps back into the soil instead of in a plastic bag in the landfill. There are lots of options for composting including barrels, containers or just a pile in the yard. Do some research and see if you might be able to start yourself a compost pile! They are great for any gardeners out there! F.I.T. Tip: How is your scapular stability? Can you retract and depress your shoulders and shoulder blades and straighten out your arms while keeping that good positioning? Do your shoulder roll forward when you do upper body exercises? Do you use your traps too much when you should be recruiting other muscles? Take the time to focus on your posture during all exercises and try and keep your shoulders in that retracted and depressed position. Learn what it feels like to use y...our Lats and Rhomboids and open up your chest. Take some time to stretch and open up your Pecs, as well as do some soft tissue work on your traps, pecs and neck.
