What's in a name? Actor, Coach, Father, Fiance, Friend, Son, all of these describe parts of what I do and who I am on this planet but they don't cover the whole spectrum of who I am. At the end of the day, they're just words, right? Describing what I "offer" has not been an easy task to dilute in a few words because there is so much that is unspoken about what I string together with and for the people that I work with... not to mention the inner battle with the ego.... If I say I am one thing, does it mean that I am not the other things? As artists, it can be scary to stray from our craft and grow in a direction outside of our original dreams... but I'm here to tell you that we all go through this mind game. It might seem like it's easy for other people to "label" themselves as a producer, actor, coach, photographer, teacher, etc... but we don't know what happens behind closed doors. We're more alike than we are different. Creative mastery is not a straight line. It is a lifelong process and no two journeys are alike. Naming what you do and what you offer is also always going to evolve as you grow into yourself more and more. With all that said, my name is Jamie Wollrab and I am a Creative Mastery Coach. I help people step into their highest creative potential. There is so much more I can say about what I do, but for now I encourage you to own all of the parts of you in all of the different stages of life. Because no matter if you call yourself an actor, writer, mom, dad - by any name you would smell as sweet. new and updated site & photos by Lisandra Vázquez www.jamiewollrab.com

It has been an incredible honor to watch @carterjenkins grow as an artist and human. This guy is one to watch, I am so proud of you and all that you've got ahead of you. It was recently announced that Carter is set to co-star opposite Chris Coy, Julia McDermott, and Adrienne Warren in ABC’s limited series Women of the Movement, from creator-writer Marissa Jo Cerar and a producing team that includes Jay-Z, Will Smith, and Aaron Kaplan. Congratulations Carter!

Anyone who has worked with me knows that I am a coach who pushes you to be the best version of yourself as a human first, before we get to any scripts. Why, you ask? Because as actors our bodies and auras are our instrument. The more that we heal and explore the depths of our emotional reality the more we can breakthrough in our artistry. Many of the people who are participating in our Artist’s Way Group are seeing the benefits of going d...eeper in our individual work. What are you doing to work on yourself this week? See more

He is not only a dear friend but my acting coach of 11 years. We started working together before I landed the role of the Evil Queen on ABC's Once Upon A Time. An iconic role whose personality traits could quite easily land one in the looney bin. Jamie's brilliance, compassion, love for the craft, and his plethora of acting techniques have kept me from going down a dark path with this character. Jamie is my acting conservatory. He has taught me that no ma...tter how evil or dark a character may be, the choices we make don't have to come from a negative place. We make healthy, positive choices so to help the actor not lose themselves in the process. He is so well versed in bodywork, voice, script analysis, character breakdown and so much more. All of what an actor needs to be their best. Just when you think you've gotten all you can from one person, Jamie surprises you with an arsenal of acting techniques and processes that help reveal so much more than you could've imagined. Over the years in playing the Evil Queen, Jamie's assistance helped me elevate this character to levels I never thought imaginable. His passion and commitment drive him to constantly push an actor to go to deeper levels and make stronger choices to best show the complexities and nuances of a character. I would highly recommend any artist to work with Jamie. Your experience will not only inspire you to be a greater performer but will also drive you to be a better human being for yourself and those around you. See more

It often feels strange to share good things someone has said about you. However, I wanted to share this note I received a few days ago as a way to encourage you to keep sharing your gifts selflessly. When you share your gifts and your heart, there universe pours it right back at you.... How can you give a little more today?

Week 3 of the Artist's Way is in the books... if you're not following along, no worries. Ready for a workout? A BRAIN workout, that is! Grab a notebook, your phone, or a piece of paper, because we’re about to do a 5-minute brainstorming session! Here’s how it works... First, set a timer for 3 minutes and do a brain dump of any ideas about __________ [subject related to what you do] that come to mind. Second, take a minute and write down any potential roadblocks or questions that need to be answered based on the ideas you thought of. For the last minute of your brainstorming session, think of ways you can get more inspiration for your ideas, like reading magazines, scrolling on Pinterest, or reaching out to a peer. There you have it! In five minutes flat, you were able to flex your creativity! Wasn’t that fun? Care to share any ideas you thought of in the comments? I’d love to hear them! See more

Week 2 complete. This week we looked at our sabotage. The things that hold us back from our greatness. Are there any tiny changes that you can make for yourself moving forward? ... For example, I sabotage myself by keeping my phone at my work desk (I'm going to look at it)... so I'm going to put it in the other room. Set a timer for 30 minutes and then allow myself to look at it. Can anyone relate? See more
