Open during construction Please forgive our mess. In addition to our internal improvements and great service, we're also getting a facelift on our exterior. You'll enjoy cleaned up and refreshed landscape, fresh paint with a new look, and many more improvements. Despite all of this work we are remaining open during construction and invite you to come on in.

Just trains in action. Similar to all business we've been making improvements during covid. By popular request we're happy to announce a new brand and product to our shelves. Hunterline wood stains. We've selected a small range of these products so be sure to come in and give us your feedback. ... Spring is coming and bringing blooming gardens with it. We've pulled the G scale buildings out from behind the counter and are now next to the G scale track to provide you a better shopping experience. You might recall this display filled with catalogs. We've moved all catalogs to the front of the store. Finally, we've got our new service counter and test track in place and operational. This means shorter lines at check out, better control for social distancing, a cleaner environment, and improved product assistance.

Open House 2020 Cancelled - For the past 30+ years, on the first Sunday in October, Just Trains has hosted our annual open house. A fun event that fills our parking lot with model railroads and vendor displays. an event that gives visitors a chance to see and learn why model railroading is called the worlds greatest hobby. What makes the open house successful is the people. The club members, vendor represenatives and more than 700 visitors that attend. While in prior years ...we have continued through heat, cold, rain, famine (we ran out of hot dogs one year) , we have drawn the line at global pandemic. Because of Covid-19, we made the tough decision to cancel the event for 2020. While the open house is a lot of fun, that does not outweigh even the smallest added risk people may be exposed to in this crazy year. So mark your calendars now for Sunday, October 3rd the first Sunday in October, 2021.

Happy 4th of July to all, the store is closed today, so that we can celebrate the freedoms provided to us by our forefathers. The store will be open next Tuesday, July 7th at 10am . We hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday.

As a retail store, Just Trains is trying to adjust and survive in our new normal world, unfortunately we still have to deal with all the the pitfalls of the old normal world. At 4:16am this morning, Just Trains experienced a burglary. One or more perpetrators smashed the glass on our front door, then one climbed in and made their way directly to the HO Consignment Brass display case, breaking the glass to steal the contents. In and out of the store in two minutes. In add...ition to the stolen items, many other items in the case were damaged beyond repair during the crime. Today we cleaned up the debris from the break in, and secured the building. Tonight we are working on securing our emotions. Tomorrow we will be doing a complete inventory to determine exactly what is missing. Many of the items taken were unique vintage brass pieces. From their handling of the pieces in the surveillance video, the thieves were gathering items for sale, not for a collection. When the missing inventory list is ready, we will publish a link to it. We ask that people watch for items on that list being offered for sale on online platforms. Most the items will be missing original boxes.
