This magnificent... local organization collects Halloween candy and sends it as part of their care packages to our brave men & women serving overseas. YOU DON'T WANT IT - THEY DO! So why not give them a little taste of home? Just bring it in to the gym and we'll do the rest! You do not need to be a member of Stonebridge Community Church to volunteer, but please let me know if you’re interested and I will connect you with Carol Webb who is overseeing this important service day. Ashlee Manor is a senior living facility for low-income seniors. Besides a grocery giveaway, we also help the seniors with small chores, including cleaning, some small repairs, etc. One lady asked me to change the lightbulb in her kitchen light once because she couldn’t reach it and was afraid of falling. It just really humbled me. I encourage my friends with servants’ hearts to consider helping next Saturday, October 13 from 8 AM to approximately 1 PM in the afternoon, but you don’t have to stay all day if you are unable! July 27-29: 8 a.m., Ventura County Stand Down, California National Guard Armory, 1270 Arundell, Ventura. The Stand Down will provide medical, dental, optometry,... social services, new clothing, haircuts, showers, employment assistance, VA benefits, legal counsel, hot meals and more to veterans and active-duty military. Simi VAlley Veterans are collecting new clothing all sizes, levis, t shirts, socks, underwear, shoes, If you can donate to them, please contact me or go to your local VFW #10049 Simi Valley, DAV #55, Marine Corp Battalion 547, and the American Legion or take them to the Veterans Military Museum in the next two weeks. There are 11 homeless female Vets and hundreds of men. They deserve our love, lets be in service to them for a change. There is a great love in taking care of each other, especially those who served our country from the freedoms we enjoy. Please.

June Ewart July 2, 2018 HI everyone...I'm working on a community project and need spools of yellow ribbon (about 1,500 yards or so)!! September is Suicide Prevention Month and a few youth volunteers and a senior will be making a community-wide yellow ribbon public distribution and prevention display at participating locations around town. So if you just happen to have any yellow ribbon laying around and would like to help I will be more than happy to pick it from you!!
