To ensure you give your target audience a positive user experience, your website needs to be: Useful Usable Accessible ... Findable Credible Desirable Valuable These are the words of Peter Morville, a founding father of the information architecture, part of the backbone of UX Design.
User experience aka UX. It sounds pretty self-explanatory. In reality, it's actually extraordinarily complicated. The user experience is a combination of design and technology that determines the interaction between user and product. When you're designing a UX, you want that interaction to be as positive and smooth as possible.
Being recognized as a brand relies solely on color and then typography, brand name, and graphics. You should ideally be recognized based on your color scheme alone, similar how people call a specific green "Starbucks green" or a specific purple "Twitch purple" Colors BECOME the brand. Study how color affects people and you should be able to build a color scheme that will convey who you are and how you want to be seen.
Research shows that the average user's attention span is about 8 seconds before they move on to something else. EIGHT seconds to grab someone's attention and tell them what your brand is all about. That's not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. So how is it done? Big brands grab their audience's attention by using color! Each brand has their own color scheme. Starbucks would be green, McDonald's yellow, Best Buy would be blue, and so forth. They send a message throu...gh color and you should be doing the same. Best way to do that is to find your primary color and use it on a large majority of your branding pages or products. You can move on to your secondary if you wish, but it isn't necessary. From there, you can then use neutral colors such as black, white, or grey. You can do so much with color and it'll greatly impact your business so choose very carefully!
When it comes to keyword researching, this is where truly understanding your target audience comes in handy. You need to ask yourself: What do people want to know about your line of business?... How often is it being searched? What format do they want my information? You understand what you want your keywords to rank, but that doesn't mean your audience will be searching those keywords specifically. Ask questions your audience may ask and try to find out what they want out of your business.
When you look at Google's search engine results page, you'll see questions that are asked and when you expand the question, you'll see those questions answered by a specific webpage. This means that webpage is using schema markups and Google recognized that webpage has answers to the questions being asked. Google has created what is know as carousels. They feature webpages that are most likely going to answer your questions or be the page you're looking for.... This is why structured data is SO important to your web design and development. Being featured on Google as not just number 1 on the SERP but also as the one who has the answers you're looking for on a specific webpage will bring in huge amounts of traffic.
Schema markup is when you want to essentially make notes within your backend to mark what texts are what. If you have a blog, you want to tell Googlebot who the author is, what the title is, where the body of text is, etc. Once you do that, the search engine bots can see your structure. Without the schema, the bots will likely not be able to grasp what your content is and not index it.
Technical SEO deals with the backend of your website. Rather than focusing on people finding your website, it focuses on whether search engines can find your website. Most search engines, particularly Google, have little bots that analyze the code of your website and index them into a specific category. This makes the beginning processes of your website very very important.
Before you begin your social media journey, you want to think of your branding. What kind of traffic do you want your business to bring in? What kind of business do you want others to see you as? What is the brand's personality? Write down these ideas and create the tone of your business. It can be rough and rowdy or it can be extremely professional. It's your choice!

What is a negative keyword? We all know keywords in marketing are words that will lead your clientele to your business. Negative keywords are words that will make sure your non-clients don't see your ad. Why is that important?... If you sell energy drinks, but don't sell a strawberry flavored drink, you don't want someone who is looking for a strawberry energy drink to click on your ad. That's wasted money. With that said, KNOW who you want to market to. It'll save you a lot of heartache.
