Good information. The only part I disagree with is "legs not yet touching the floor." If a child is sitting on a bench or chair, and their legs are not yet touching the floor, then they need a step stool. Otherwise they will start to swing their legs back and forth. If you've ever gone to church you've probably seen little kids do this while sitting on a the pews. They are not bored. They are not being rude or inconsiderate. The circulation is getting cut off in their legs! That's why they intuitively start swinging their legs back and forth. As soon as I learned this I made sure my little students have a step stool to use.
