Friends of mine are renting their home short-term while abroad. I sold them their home several years ago and it is a really nice property in the sunny banana belt area if Santa Cruz. It has a great walk score and is in a terrific commute location. You couldn’t rent from a nicer family either. Staging is one of the most important things you can do when you are trying to sell a home. The effort you put into the process can show your home in its best light, and makes it easier for a buyer to envision themselves living there. I am a true believer in staging. It can translate to a quicker sale and thousands of dollars more on your sales price. You can stage with your own furnishings or you can hire someone to stage for you. Either way, it is well worth the effort.
