If you're looking for the best authentic Mexican street tacos on this side of the border, @tacoselcabron is a must-try! Proud to be working on such a delicious project, honoring the casual, rugged "cabrón" spirit of Tacos El Cabrón. Can't wait to unveil their newest location soon...for now, here's a sneak peek #JWDSTacosElCabron
Our unique approach to single family residences starts with space planning, where life and functions at home are thoughtfully considered. From there, we dive into exterior and landscape studies. Once this visioning exercise is balanced between interior and exterior spaces, the project is ready to dive into full architecture and interior design.
When considering the life and functions of a home, our approach is holistic, incorporating utility of space indoors as much as outdoors. Exterior hardscape can often be overlooked, but it's an integral part of the visioning process - and one of our favorite ways to make a house truly feel like home.
A massing study is the study of the general shape, form, and size of a project, often completed before fully diving into the architecture and interiors. This critical juncture is an important element of our approach to design, ensuring that no detail (big or small) is overlooked as we work to bring our clients' dream homes to life.
"In keeping residents’ personal tastes in mind, Jules Wilson Design Studio chose a simplified, modern design in the apartment units to encourage individual creativity and customization." More on our work at The Place at FifthandB via ICONIC! Special thanks to Nisa Ayral for the words and Zack Benson Architectural Photography for the beautiful images!
Biophilic design "seeks to satisfy our innate need to affiliate with nature in modern buildings and cities" - Stephen R. Kellert, @metropolismag No better designer than nature herself. We love incorporating organic shapes and materials into the spaces we design, to provide a grounding effect that calms and inspires.
A sneak peek at a new project we're working on This multifamily residence will incorporate natural elements to connect the modern built environment with nature. The result will be a serene sanctuary, a respite from the bustle of daily life.
Thank you Nashville Interiors Magazine for sharing our work for The Place at FifthandB! Photos by Zack Benson Architectural Photography.
As we continue to navigate a "new normal," the importance of biophilic design has never been greater. Organic elements and natural lighting can help create a sense of peace and safety, directly improving physical + mental health. We're currently designing a new multifamily residential project to create a personal oasis, and drawing inspiration from calming spaces (like this tranquil corner by Lorna de Santos Artquitecta)
We are so honored to have received the San Diego Architectural Foundation 2020 Interior Design Orchid award for The Plunge at Fit Athletic Mission Beach! Thank you to the jury and members! Although the award was for interior design, we are also proud to be involved with the project visioning, schematic architecture and restoration of the historic plunge pool. It takes a village, and this honor would not be possible without the talented team we worked with to see this project... to completion: FIT ATHLETIC, Jim Gates Architect, Pacifica Real Estate Services, Lusardi Construction, Hollis Brand Culture, Schmidt Design Group, and more. Congrats to each of this year's winners! Click here to view the full list: https://www.orchidsandonions.org/archive/2020-awards/ : Paul Vu Photography
Inspiration can be found anywhere. This stunning look from Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture influenced the artwork and pieces we curated throughout Grey House River Oaks District. #JWDSGreyhouse
"I found a photo of a Flamenco girl throwing her dress all around with great power and expression. The photo inspired me to make a light with similar drama and expression to spice up our modernistic world. This light wants to dance in freedom so give her space to work her gypsy magic" - Danny Fang Details like this Fandango Hanging pendant light can be found in Grey House River Oaks District.
Beautiful spaces and places aren't the only things we're passionate about designing. We lined this private yacht with smooth leather and polished wood paneled walls for streamlined sophistication. With the hull accented by nautical blue exquisite textiles, linens, and custom bedding throughout, the design creates a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere while cruising along the Pacific Coast.
