Today, as Americans, we celebrated our right to vote. Our voices were heard as we cast our ballots. I consider this right an enormous blessing. In the next fe...w days, we will face the outcome of the election together. Some people will get the person they voted for, others won’t. One candidate running for the presidency will be elected. Others won’t. Regardless of our own personal experience in this matter, when all the votes are counted and the winner is determined, as Americans we ALL will have the same President. I was taught that the President of the United States is an ELECTED official, that is to be respected as our country’s Chief Commander. Regardless of how we may feel personally, once the election is determined, it’s done. OVER. Vote again in four years. As we say in preschoolYOU GET WHAT YOU GET AND YOU DON’T THROW A FIT! YOU MAKE THE BEST OF IT! The hatred must stop here. When did it become ok to throw a fit because your candidate didn’t get elected?!!! I’m DONE. I’m OVER it! We have to come together as human beings, who just happen to be more alike than we are different. We all want better for our children, our planet, and ourselves. We just don’t always agree on how to achieve this goal. That’s why we vote and check and balance. Then we unite as a country accepting and honoring that in America the majority rules. We can do better my beloved Americans. It is time for HUMANITY to replace hatred in our country. Who can stop the hatred in our country? Americans can. The question is, are we going to move forward in grace or continue on in hate? We must set an example of what we want our country to look like. We must come together as caring, loving, and thoughtful human beings. After the votes are counted and the winner is determined, it won’t be about the election anymore. Instead the focus will be on how we move forward. As Americans or terrorists? We have the right as a privileged American to vote and be heard. We also have a responsibility as a human being to help stop the hatred in our country and our world. Heavenly Father, I pray for peace throughout our nation. May we move forward, together, as Americans devoted to share humanity and stop hatred. Bless each of us with the desire and ability to be humane, kind, and benevolent. After a rough couple of days at JOC it’s time for some comfort. We highly recommend checking out the movie Fly Away Home. It’s an inspiring story with beautiful cinematography. We always love a family movie where a child is the hero. It is rated PG13 and has one swear word, just FYI. It’s still one of the most heart touching and empowering movies we’ve ever seen. Also recommend grabbing something yummy to drink from an amazing treasure in Folsom, we experienced for the first ...time yesterday. Will be returning today for another one of their healthy, meal replacement shakes about 250 calorie. This wonderful place is called Nourish. That’s exactly what it does. Nourishing drinks for all ages. I can honestly say I have never tasted anything so delicious. Move over Starbucks! There’s a healthier option in town. Nourish is located on Glenn. It faces Glenn and is right across the street from Kindercare Daycare center. Parking is easily accessible but no frontage parking. Hoping more people discover this treasure so we can keep Nourish going. It’s that delightful. Recommend the butter pecan shake. WOWzer! Hope everyone can relax and enJOY some comfort this weekend.
