Clients! Damia Salon is finally reopening next week I went back into my schedule from March until November & reaching out to each of my clients that were pre-booked. ... Now I have opened my books online for everyone We are only allowed 25% capacity in the salon & no double booking is the new protocol. Some good news - The salons in San Francisco County are finally opening up. Most of the Bay Area has already opened up & we’re the last ones to open.... I’ll be starting on 09/22/20 Please do not book online yet. I have to go back into my pre-booked appointments starting in April and work my way all the way to present time. Longwinded PSA about hair - I’ve had quite a few people ask me to do tutorials on how to cut or color their hair - both men & women. I get it. ... Being sheltered in place can make us stir crazy. Your bangs are getting in your eyes, your hair is growing past your ears & your gray is growing out...maybe just want a change. I’ll do my best to share with you all ways of styling hair as it grows in awkward lengths & days of not washing it. I just don’t feel comfortable with teaching anyone something that took me years to master with sharp objects, color theory & chemicals. That’s a lot of responsibility I’m not willing to shoulder. This isn’t anything personal. I just need to protect myself & my business. So if you have the itch to cut or even...color... I cannot stop you. Your hairstylist or barber cannot stop you. So when we can all get back into the salons & barbershops, we all will be ready for you to fix what was done to your hair during shelter in place to the best of our abilities. Thanks everyone for understanding! Joy P.S. Please don’t use any lightener/bleach. I’m scared you’ll get a chemical burn on your scalp & melt your hair into overdone spaghetti.
