WOO HOO!! Sacramento County has an amended Public Health Order relaxes restrictions on low-risk businesses consistent with direction from the state. The new Public Health Order will become effective at 11:59 a.m. today, June 12. The following activities and venues are now allowable in the amended Public Health Order, provided they have implemented the required health and safety protocols outlined in the Order:... Bars and wineries Hotels, lodging and short-term rentals Campgrounds, RV parks and Outdoor Recreation Gyms and fitness facilities Pools Museums, galleries, zoos and aquariums Family entertainment centers Movie theaters Day camps Tribal casinos Cardrooms, satellite wagering facilities and racetracks Businesses must include a policy for face coverings in their protocol and provide face coverings to staff when six feet of social distance is not possible. Continue to maintain social distancing requirements of six feet or more, practice good hand hygiene, stay home as much as possible and remember that gatherings of people not from the same household inside houses are prohibited," said Dr. Peter Beilenson, director of Health Services. The Health Order supersedes previous orders and is in effect until it is rescinded or amended by the Sacramento County Health Officer. There will be cones set up every 7 feet to assist. - Food trucks are being sanitized before, during and after each service and all CDC recommended measures are in place to ensure a safe food purchase. - While the truck operators love you for your support, please do not loiter, or you will risk us being shut down and unable to operate. *Each food truck will have an option to donate a $6 meal to someone at the shelter for each. Every time $600 is reached, a food truck will deliver 100 meals to Saint John’s.

Good news! The North Natomas Regional Park Dog Parks are almost complete and will open July 13, after the turf establishment period. A 0.5-acre small dog park ...and 2-acre large dog park will include double entry gates, drinking fountains with dog bowls, dog rinse stations, three 20’ square foot fabric shade canopies, accessible pathway, concrete benches and trash receptacles. They will also include decomposed granite paving, large open turf dog run zones, low water-use landscaping, large shade trees and accent trees, dry cobble stream beds to collects drainage for ground water recharge. The large dog park will include a water play zone with misting fire hydrant, and a dog agility zone. See more
