Great article by Berkeleyside on the fire, current situation, future plans, and tonight's fundraiser event at The Wooden Duck!
Hey Everyone! We'll be having a fundraiser on the 14th of June with live music, food, drinks, a silent auction, and lots of fun. Bring some friends, spread the word, and we'll see you there!
We're excited to announce the launch of our first fundraising campaign on GoFundMe. The initial goals of this push are: Financially assist individual members to replace the tools, equipment, and materials needed to restart their businesses. Quickly locate and equip temporary space(s) so individual members can fulfill outstanding orders. ... Begin the search for a new location where we can rebuild in order to preserve Joshua Tree’s unique synergy and creative strengths. Please share the GoFundMe site with your networks to help spread the word so we can get Joshua Tree back up and running. Your help and support is greatly appreciated!
Cooked to a medium rare, several furniture pieces may be salvageable from the fire. Stay tuned for our "fire sale." These items are HOT!
The collective just had our second weekly meeting. So much to figure out, plan, and do . . .
Another Berkeleyside article about the fire.
Here's article on Joshua Tree and the fire . . .
Joshua Tree Artisans' Collective shopmates are meeting on next steps for rebuilding; searching for new shop locations, spaces and resources for fundraising events. Please stay tuned for fundraising efforts. Thanks to #Truitt & White Lumber Co. for donating their conference room!
As you might have heard, Joshua Tree Artisan Collective has been completely destroyed by the April 12th fire. We are devastated and in shock, but grateful that no one was injured and have great praise for the firefighters who stopped the blaze before it destroyed other neighboring businesses. Our thoughts go out to our neighbors, Thriving Lifestyles, who's business was also completely destroyed. The Wooden Duck warehouse has been destroyed, but there main store and factory building were untouched and they are open for business. Import Tile suffered damage to their warehouse, but the main store is open for business. Bay Home Consignment Furniture was also untouched and are open for business. The Joshua Tree Shop-mates are regrouping and discussing next steps. Thank you everyone for all your support, thoughts and prayers.
