"What COVID meant for evil, Christ meant for good." And it shows in that 80% / 20% way you've been praying for me my faith has widened, my hopes are higher, m...y love for Jesus has skyrocketed, my appreciation for others has deepened, and God's promises are cemented further into my soul. This is how Christ meant COVID for my good. And yes, the 20% (praying for physical things) is working, too: my lungs are clear and my temperature is down. Here's another "good" thing from this COVID While Ken stayed with me in the ER so I could receive my antibody infusion, he was constantly giving out Gospel tracts, blessing nurses and aides in the name of Jesus, stopping to pray for them, and speaking words of Spirit-blessed encouragement. He even did this at the pharmacy. But isn't this what the Christmas season is all about? Using this season to share the Good News that Light has come into our darkness through Jesus Christ?! "What COVID meant for evil, Christ is using to spread his fame!" So, keep spreading that wonderful word this week, and as you do, keep praying using that 80% / 20% matrix. Psalm 84:11 assures us that "No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly," and we are being showered with good courage, good endurance, good healing, good confidence in our great Savior, and really good opportunities to tell others about his great Name. One more thing. While I was in that ER receiving top-notch care from a hospital that doesn't "know Joni," I kept shaking my head, thinking of the untold numbers of people with disabilities here in the US and around the world who lack access to medical help. It humbled me greatly and so, sitting there hooked up to an IV, I kept praying for Joni and Friends' expanding domestic and international outreach. Oh, dear friend, we've got work to do in 2021 and like you, I'm energized about reaching more people with disabilities for Christ in the New Year. So join me in giving Jesus' Light to those who need his love most!
