Congrats to Sheppard Mullin for continuing to provide a healthy, modern, and vibrant environment for their employees and clients! J&J has had the privilege of building out four different projects, for this top Global 100 Firm, since 2006 in partnership with design firm ID Studios Inc. This most recent addition included approximately 7,700 sf of lobby space , three large conference rooms, 20 private offices with an open admin area, and café/catering space, in the premier Irvine Company owned Paseo Del Mar.

These past five years have flown by! We are incredibly grateful to have Ryan Warren leading our Anaheim Office team. This second Orange County location was opened last year to directly support J&J’s work with a local world-renowned theme park. Ryan is a knowledgeable and flexible project leader who can manage a wide variety of unique project types. From his significant past field experience, Ryan brings a keen eye for the small details. He is a leader who prides himself on client satisfaction and building long term relationships. Thank you Ryan for everything that you bring to the J&J team and our unique projects.

On International Women’s Day we celebrate the strength and brilliance of J&J’s female clients, partners and subcontractors. As a women-owned general contractor we seek to uplift women’s voices and visions every single day. 14 years has FLOWN by! Congratulations to our Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Jackie Isidore! Jackie’s joy is contagious, her professionalism is unmatched, and her eye for detail is one of the best in the industry (possibly the world!) Throughout our 40 years of retail and banking experience, we have seen the financial world change before our eyes! Throwback to two of our older banking projects, San Diego National Bank, East County & San Diego Trust Bank, two projects that showcase the classic Teller experience. Fast forward a few decades, and our banking work continues with our recently completed project, Union Bank Orange, a state of the art banking experience in a Class A high rise! Whatever the future of finance holds, J&J will be right there!

Through her mentorship and extensive knowledge of the construction industry, we are proud that our very own Donna Vargo was a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal 2020 CEO of the Year, this honor, along with her recognition as being on their list of San Diego’s 500 Most Influential People, is a testament to her incredible work ethic and relentless passion for personal and professional growth throughout her career.

It's not every day that you get to be a part of history! J&J is excited to begin work on a sophisticated 3,800 sf office tenant improvement in the renowned Hermosa Beach Metropolitan Theatre, also known as the Bijou Building! Designed in 1923 by Hermosa Beach local architect Richard Douglas King, the gorgeous design and detail of this property landed it on the National Register of Historic Places. Once an iconic center for performing arts, the creativity and passion of the Bijou Building will live on as we bring it into the 21st century with new contemporary features, refinished restrooms, and new structural steel and moment framing for a mezzanine, preserving the integrity of this landmark. #hermosabeach #construction #beach

We are so incredibly proud to have John Schultz as part of our J&J family. Since joining our team 5 years ago, John has proven himself to be the consummate professional who embodies all that we hold dear. Building with Pride, Building with Professionalism, Building with Integrity, all while delivering projects that meet the highest standards of Safety and Quality. John recently completed an occupied, two building historic renovation at The Academy of Our Lady of Peace. During the schedule of the project he significantly contributed to our Boundless Internship, mentoring high school girls in the complexities of onsite construction management. The AOLP project is a testament to John’s skill as a Superintendent and also his strengths as a leader.

Safety has always been our number one priority at J&J! With the current 2020 environment we are proud to contribute to keeping our clients and the facilities we work in safe with new systems and protocols! ICS has done an incredible job installing TZAP HALOS, which ensures that the staff and students at AOLP have the cleanest environment possible. Check out the post below for more details!

While the seats and co-workers may have been spaced out, the joy we are all feeling couldn't be closer to our hearts. Alex, we are so ready to meet your little guy! Congratulations!

This past Fall and Spring, J&J upgraded BBMR with a 71,320 sf patio extension, snow melting system, and brand new kiosks to enjoy a cold (or hot!) drink! We can’t wait for the season to start.
