John is hard at work again

Johns Jaguar Service 12.10.2020

To all of our wonderful clients; John received news about 2 1/2 weeks ago, that he had a cancerous mole on his face. He underwent surgery to remove it, and also had a biopsy of his lymph node. They found traces of cancer in it. A scan yesterday, was negative for any cancer outside of his lymph node. Today he had a six hour surgery to remove it. There were no complications, and thankfully John is now CANCER FREE! Everyone here is so happy for good news after this ordeal. Thank... you for all the well wishes, they are very much appreciated. John will be recovering for at least the next week, and will be out of the shop. We're of course still open, and running at the standards John has set over the last 35 years. Thank you all for your patience while we're running a man short. We appreciate our clients, the same way you appreciate our mission to give you the very best service, at the best price we can. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. I'm sure John feels the same way. - Daniel Simpson, manager, John's jaguar See more

Rest in peace Jack. Sorry we couldn't bring her back to life before you reached the end of yours. Have a cigar on the other side for us, you will be missed.

So they aren't Jaguars, but they're still British, and they are simply beautiful. Left: 2009 Aston Martin DB9 Right: 1980 Aston Martin V8 Volante

Talk about stunning. I cannot fault the design of the Jaguar f-type coupe in any way. Every angle on this car was designed, not just perfectly, but with every single aspect of driving considered. It's fast, it's smooth, and it is so comfortable. Jaguar has out done itself with this one, I would highly recommend test driving one. The exhaust is loud and beautiful. The engine has more power than you would expect, but the traction control keeps this beast in check for your day to day. Of course you can turn it off, for a bit more thrill. The transmission shifts as smooth as silk, even if you aren't used to paddle shifting. John and I are going to have to rate this jaguar 11 out of 10. It absolutely adds to the sport history of jaguar cars. 2015 F-type R.

We were mentioned in an article featuring our client Cal's 1970 P6. If you would like to know a little history about Rover cars, and hear a wonderful story about a man's ongoing love affair with them, this was great.

The absolutely iconic Austin Healey 3000. This body style started in the 1950's, and any British car enthusiast will tell you it was well ahead of its time. Beginning with the 100-4, this body continued until the end of Austin Healey sports cars in the late 1960's. It's no Jaguar though. The Austin Healey 100-6 and 3000 (pictured) failed to compete with the Jaguar XK140, and XK150, due to its cast iron block, and over steer. The extra weight was a factor in Jaguar winning at... Le Mans, despite their much longer and heavier body. Of course, with body work and styling like that, she can afford to cruise a little slower today. Personally, the Austin Healey 3000 rates #2 on my list of favorite British cars. #1 you ask? Always, without a doubt, the Jaguar XK120 convertible reigns supreme. Extra note, the 120 and 140 both broke the land speed record. -Dan Simpson, manager, John's Jaguar. See more
