They were recruited by the coach to pretend they were disabled to win the world gold medal... which they did. Great News! Two of my Special Olympic swimmers have been invited to join the 2018 US National Team. I've been coaching them for 8 years and watched them grow from rambunctious little kids to hard working, give-it-their-all champions. Couldn't be more proud!

Big success at our first Special Olympics meet of the year. Lots of hugs and smiles, a few athletes swam the wrong stroke and one swimmer refused to get out of the pool. But everyone went home happy.

A new season of Special Olympics swimming has begun. Goooooo Sharks!
