I’m going to try to do a better job maintaining this page. Anyhow, I put this new range hood in for client recently. This just scratches the surface of my electrical skills. I can handle any electrical job, whether troubleshooting and fixing old wiring or new installations.
I just finished a piece of custom furniture for a client in Pacific Grove.
I had a chance today to snap a shot of a Greek tub install/tile job that I did several years ago in a very small cottage in Pacific Grove.
Not exactly a home improvement project but I’m building an acoustic guitar. The photos with the old handsaw show how I resaw lumber without a large bandsaw. This piece of lumber is a 70+ year aged piece of old growth Sequoia that someone was throwing away. It would’ve been an absolute shame for it to go to the landfill. Anyhow, I’ve got the rosette all glued up and weighted down. Will keep you posted on my progress.
This was an old garage. I'm almost done here. The funny birdhouse looking thing on the ceiling is where a chandelier will hang. Those beams have been sanded since I took these photos. The dark spots on them were unsanded wood filler.
This was a fun little job. I installed 4 recessed cans in a room that desperately needed more light.
Apparently some water had worked its way down a broken weatherhead and caused enough corrosion in this sub-panel to burn out the main breaker and the one adjacent to it. The fix: install new weatherhead, and new breakers after sanding the corrosion off of the bus bar and applying oxidation inhibitor to all areas that will come into contact with the freshly sanded area.
This window was made in the 1970s to replace the original, probably stained glass, that was there since the house was built in the early 1900s. The center piece broke so I made this new piece out of epoxy resin, some blue dye, and some sea shells and coral. Aside from the color clash, I'd say it turned out alright. The owners love it.
These are always fun little jobs. Pressure wash, steel wool, and oil finish for this old teak deck furniture set.
After refinishing a deck. This is a semi-solid stain.
I will even show up to your home just to help you hang your artwork. This was a fun little morning job.
I built 400 linear feet of fence with these split palings, in Pacific Grove. I was wiped out after this job.
I made a slight modification to this mantle in order to make it fit into a slightly recessed fireplace.
