I'm hopeful that like SARS, we can contain this Coronavirus by this summer. I've received a lot of questions regarding rent payment options with the reduction or loss of income from renters. Here is some information that may help. Renters: IF your income has been drastically reduced due to the Coronavirus or stay home mandate AND you're... unable to pay rent due to those circumstances, you may notify your landlord in writing 7 days before rent is due that you aren't able to pay some or all of the rent. You will need to make arrangements to repay the difference with your landlord. Landlords: There is a temporary ban on evictions for those affected by Coronavirus until May 31. Please work with your tenants to come up a temporary reduction or deferment of rent and a repayment plan. Please be safe and take care!
