Our students spent Halloween morning focusing on scene objectives! Awesome work at your final performance showcase, actors! One of the last workshops of the year outside of our ongoing classes is our ENVIRONMENT crash course! Purchase on our site. ... This crash course focuses on specific scenes where the environment weighs heavily on the character. Dive deep into what defines environment like weather, location, and crowd size, and how it emotionally and physically affects your character’s objectives. Investigate what the script offers in order to help create a fourth wall and determine how it adds palpable pressure onto your character and learn how to sustain those environmental pressures until the last moments of the scene. Learn how to make your zoom or eco-cast auditions even more powerful! Scenes will be directed toward the camera on your computer or tablet. We will invite a limited number of industry guests to observe our working showcase.

FALL 2020 Performance! What is vocal range? What is vocal endurance? Why is the location and placement of your voice important? Can your voice change over time? From Glee to My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and the television version of High School Musical, there have never been more roles for an actor who can sing. ... Singing is an important tool in an actor’s skill set but many lack the knowledge or confidence to get in front of the camera and deliver a stellar performance. SINGING FOR ACTORS will help develop singing skills as an actor, instilling confidence and making actors even more marketable to casting directors.

A single great performance is engaging to watch, but brilliant TV ensembles remain forever ingrained in our memories. The chemistry of the casts of FRIENDS, GREY’S ANATOMY, NCIS, ER and THE SOPRANOS is what made these shows so special. That’s why, after all the individual auditions are over and the favorite actors have been chosen, the network and studio make the final decisions by holding chemistry reads to see which combination of actors has the best potential to make magic happen. In this class we cast groups of actors together in exciting comedic & dramatic scenes, allowing them to establish and distinguish their archetypes from one another and learn to interact in new and exciting ways!
Bravo to all of our wonderful young actors who participated in our Sketch Comedy 3 weekend workshop! Discovering actor's own unique comedic voice How to best package characters for the audition format Drawing inspiration from daily life See more
