Congratulations to Klara Kosan for winning the ITA Battle in the bay tournament over this last weekend! She made history for UOP as the first women tennis player from Pacific to win the tournament. Also, by winning the tournament she received a wildcard into the women’s $60,000 Templeton ITF pro event, which is held this week! Katie Volynets will also be representing JMG at the ITF pro event. Best of luck to both of them!
U.S Open highlights and recap: Jenson Brooksby recorded his first ever tour-level win over a top-100 player. He was also the only American qualifier. Additionally, after winning the Billie Jean King Junior National Championship, Katie Volynets earned a wild card into the U.S. Open main draw where she faced the 15th seeded Bianca Andr...eescu. Katie kept the match competitive, but ended up losing 6-2, 6-4 to the eventual tournament champion. In the U.S Open juniors, Katie won her first round match before again falling to the tournament champion. Great job to both athletes and thanks to everyone for their support!

Good luck to Collin Altamirano in the quarterfinals of Shanghai Challenger !
Cool article about Katie and her latest endeavors on the courts. After a tough loss to WTA’s #15 Bianca Andreescu in the first round of the US Open women’s draw, Katie began her campaign in the US Open juniors tournament this morning with the first round victory over France’s Carole Monnet 6:1 6:3. Good luck in the second round, and let’s take that grand slam trophy home! #USOpen #juniors #KatieVolynets #GrandSlam #champion
