Recently we embraced a unique opportunity to partner with Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley - JFS SV to help meet increased human services needs in our community. Through local fundraising and JFNA’s Human Service Relief matching grant program, we provided more than $65,000 to support JFS’ work. With these funds, JFS was able to hire a new social worker to work directly with older adult clients who are struggling with depression and loneliness. JFS has also added a rabbi to the team who will serve as the Coordinator of Community Wellness and Wellbeing. In this video, Susan Frazer, Associate Executive Director of JSF, talks about the program and the need.
