There is no such thing as a small Jew. A Jew must never underestimate his or her potential. -The Rebbe In this weeks Torah portion, G-d tells Moshe to command the Jews to each donate a half shekel. This money was used to cover the costs of the foundation of the tabernacle. This commandment was given to show the equal value of each Jew in G-d’s eyes. Although each person has the ability to donate according to their means, some more and some less, for the foundation, everyone...’s donations were equal.
