Merry Christmas! From our Jewel City/JWV Little League family to yours

Hello Jewel City/JWV Little League Families, The 2020 Little League season was challenging to say the least. The Jewel City/JWV Board partnered with the City of Glendale to provide the first, and likely only, baseball clinic, in accordance with the evolving County and State guidelines for safe youth sports in the Tri-City area. Proudly, the league hosted 33 total daily camps and provided nearly 70 hours of safe activity time to the Minors division, approximately 60 hours to... the Majors division, and held 5 dedicated Coach Pitch camps. We had to reinvent the baseball activities to meet the safety guidelines, but all in all the kids had a great time and always wanted more. It is the dedication of your Board, along with our coaches and league volunteers' strict adherence to all guidelines and protocols, that allowed the league to provide all of this without a single infection of COVID-19. The Jewel City/JWV Board want to thank all of the families and players who participated in our 2020 Summer Camp! We are excited to announce open registration for our 2020 Fall Ball waitlist which only requires payment when your child is actually assigned to a pod for the Fall Camp. Jewel City/JWV Little League will again be implementing all of the new guidelines recently issued by the County, State & the City of Glendale for safety protocols related to Youth Sports (for more information visit http://publichealth.lacounty.gov//Reopening_YouthSportsLea). While we anticipate your player being assigned to a pod with dedicated practice times, please note that this is first come first serve and there is a strict cap on all divisions. Prices will be $100 per player for minors and majors divisions and $50 for coach pitch division. Financial assistance and scholarships are available upon request. The Jewel City/JWV Little League Fall Ball program focuses on building fundamentals and helping players level up to the next division. Pods will meet at Brand Park multiple times a week: weekday afternoon/evenings and weekend days. Please visit our website www.jewelcitylittleleague.com to REGISTER NOW. Dear Parents, We, the Jewel City/JWV Little League Board, want to thank you for allowing your child to participate in our first summer baseball camp (inclusive of Coach Pitch, Minors and Majors Divisions). Words simply cannot express the level of gratitude and appreciation we have for all of your support and trust in our league. As you are aware, we made the decision to end camp a few days early due to the growing number of COVID-19 cases in-and-around the City of Glendale.... Our first and foremost objective is to ensure the health and safety of the players, so making the decision to end camp early was a unified decision from the board. We do believe that the procedures and protocols we implemented for the camp allowed the kids to play in the safest environment possible. In the coming days, we plan to engage the City of Glendale and move towards offering a second Jewel City/JWV baseball camp. With our safety procedures and camp setup in place, we feel confident in being able to provide our players with another opportunity to have fun, see their friends and teammates, and above all else have fun playing baseball. We encourage all of our families to watch the video below, that outlines our safety procedures and protocols.
