Whew...it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here. I’ve just taken as much time as needed away from work social. The world is heavy and just have been focusing on our babies, family, friends, mentally clarity and our wonderful customers and clients. Just wanted to say how beyond grateful we are for each and every one of our customers this year! Every ornament order, every stirrer, every cake topper, keychain, every custom order...you have no idea how much it means to us especially during such uncertain times. From our family to yours, we are wishing you a beautiful and safe Thanksgiving! We are still here (and I promise to be more present on social) because of you all! Love this shot of our gal leave stirrers by @laurynprattes

I have written this out several times then deleted and started again. I realized my words aren’t the ones that need to be read, so instead I’ll simply leave you with Erica’s words, my beautiful friend, who is such a inspirational beautiful soul. Why are black men such a threat to white America? I have a few theories on the reason but none of them even remotely come close to giving you a murder pass. So I figured it was time to start changing the narrative on how we look at..., talk about, and view black men. And just in time for #fathersday I wanted to show you how beautiful, and gentle, and loving, and unique black men, and more specifically, black dads are. Don’t strip their wives, lovers, mothers, fathers, or children of the importance of their existence and value they hold in their lives. This heart filled idea then turned into an unintentionally huge event lol. We had 24 dads + their families come, 19+ volunteers, and raised over $2800 for #blm and bail out finds for protestors in San Diego. Every dad that came made me cry. Each one was so thankful that for once, for freaking once, they were seen. They were loved. They were appreciated. And that’s when I realized, this is going to be my legacy. I’m going to spend the rest of my life destigmatizing the narratives inflicted on the African America community. I’m going to spend the rest of my life fighting for real equality. I’m going to spend the rest of my life loving myself, my people, and my culture, HARD. And I’m going to document the shit out of how truly amazing and beauitful we really are. Because, if nothing else, that is #TheSoCalStandard And let me shoutout the most amazing people who made this happen. The events industry is getting hit HARD, as are so many others across the country and the world over. Here are some simple ways to give us a little boost in the...se wild times! 1. Leave a 5-star review for your wedding vendors on sites like The Knot, WeddingWire, Google, Zola, Yelp, etc. Even if you haven’t gotten married yet but feel like your vendors have been a huge help thus far, show them some love! When we all get out on the other side of this, having an arsenal of glowing (and recent) reviews is going to help us tremendously in filling up our calendars for the future. 2. Please tell EVERYONE you know who is engaged about us. 3. Already married? What better way to spread some love and joy during this wild time than to post your wedding photos and relive such a happy day (and credit all the vendors that made it happen)? 4. There has been a lot of talk about the important of postponing your events rather than cancelling them. I support that idea but only to the extent it feels right for you. If you can’t fathom planning a wedding for any longer, then you and your partner need to make the right choice for the two of you.

For Hillary, there was only ever one option she would accept as her life partner, and that was Vincent Trocheck. If she was going to get married, or have kids, ...it would be with Vince, or it wouldn't be at all. Being the determined, perseverant woman that she is, it should come as no surprise to anyone that knows her that in the past two years, she has put a check mark beside both categories and built a life alongside the man she's always loved. Originally from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Vince relocated to Michigan in high school to play Juniors hockey. It was during this time that he met Hillary. They had a few classes together and really hit it off. After dating for awhile, they ended up going their separate ways in college. Post graduation, Hillary was working for Ford Motors - a job she landed while still in school. Her job required that she travel to Pittsburgh for a conference - which just so happened to be where Vincent was at the time. Although she had no idea what Vince was up to, or if he was even still single, she took a chance and reached out to see if he would be around while she was in town and if he wanted to grab a cup of coffee. He was, and he did. They have been together ever since. Vince and Hillary now reside in Florida with their precious son Leo. Together they enjoyed planning the elegant and romantic celebration of their love story. Nemacolin served as not only the most idyllic backdrop for their "I Do's", but also the perfect setting for friends and family from all over the country to join them for a weekend all together in honor of their marriage. When walking down the aisle to her husband, Hillary did so carrying their son, Leonardo, a gesture Vincent had no idea was coming. The thoughtful ways they love each other, their kindness and generosity, and their hard work and grit they both put toward everything they do are just a few of the qualities that make these two so good together. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Trocheck! We couldn't be happier for you two, and your beautiful family! #vincentclosedthecase --- Wedding Planner | Bumble burgh Events Co.
