Please avoid grocery shopping on April 1-3 unless you have a critical need. Many WIC/SNAP benefits come to low-income families at the first of the month and there will be a surge as these families redeem them. Many of these families' benefits were depleted more quickly because children are staying home from school and some families are going hungry right now. Also, please respect their needs by not buying items with a WIC shelf tag unless you absolutely need them. They cannot simply substitute these items with others; they would go without. This will also help to keep some of our city's most vulnerable safer by not adding to the crowds in the stores unnecessarily. ALSO, people on SNAP cannot buy things online/for delivery. REALTOR TIDBIT #1 - This is the time of year people often contemplate making a move. And while all the moving parts can be overwhelming, the first place to start is financing. If you're lucky enough to not need to finance your home purchase with a loan, kudos to you! Skip straight to the "let's go find a home" phase.... Otherwise, your first step is to get pre-approved with a lender. All lenders, be they direct lender or bank or broker, will need the same documents; 2 Years of your most recent Tax Returns 2 Months of Bank Statements 2 Months of Income Statements or Pay Stubs Recent Credit Report or Permission to run one for you I can refer you to excellent lenders to help you with this process. No, it matters not who you work with, and Realtors get no benefit from you using one over the other. There are no kickbacks. That's a big no-no. What is important is that you jive with this person, as you will be in constant touch with them for at least two months. Equally important is that they know what they're doing. A loan can really jack up your purchase process if not handled well. Trust me. Get this squared away before you waste valuable time obsessing over that sexy Mid-Century Modern online, or stepping into one single open house. You'll be glad you did. End of PSA.
