Pause. Take a breath. Notice the picture. The colors. The images. We all have low moments in our life. When we are down it can be overwhelming. Taking a moment to connect with positive memories feelings you have can strengthen those connections in your brain. This can make the low moments more tolerable. What feelings does this image being you? ... #presentmoment #mindfulness #mindfulnesspractice #grounding #momtherapy #mamatraumatherapist #checkingin #positivevibes #momsthatthrive #emotionalhealth #feelings #allthefeelings #healingfromtrauma #safeplace

As moms, we are hard on ourselves. We can get in a cycle of "should be's" and "not good enough's". These messages are rooted in deep beliefs that we learned about ourself as a child or possibly as a result of a trauma. When we add in positive self talk we start building a different narrative about ourselves. We give ourself grace. Permission to not be perfect. Self compassion. We give an opportunity for our positive beliefs about ourselves to get stronger and in return w...e get stronger. Which positive self talk do you want to bring into today? #emotionalhealth #selfcompassion #selfcare #mommylifestyle #traumarecovery #momtherapy #postpartumjourney #postpartummentalhealth #postpartumdepression #sadmood #selftalk #imstrong #impostersyndrome #momsthatthrive #iamenough #intentionalliving #iamwhoiam #giveyourselfgrace #selfacceptance #selflove

You CAN be ok. It's election day and emotions are high with anticipation. Place one hand on your heart and repeat this phrase. Take a deep breath and repeat. We live in a world where we sometimes our voice is represented and sometimes its not. Its the hard part. So remind yourself that you've gone through hard things before and you will get through this too. ... #election2020 #mentalwellness #selfcompassion #selfcare #mamatraumatherapist #positiveselftalk #electionday

Serial Yes-er? Say yes to too many people ot things Saying? Saying yes can open many doors but saying yes often means you're saying no to something else (time, space for self care, family, work, etc). This weekend my partner reminded me "you can always say no, its your choice". He was right. We can always say "no" but deep down there's something inside may say "don't say no!" Maybe its fear of rejection or fear of missed opportunities. Don't say yes for the sake of sayi...ng yes. And of youre having a hard time saying no and it really is that simple. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone! #emotionalhealth #sayingno #settingboundaries #nottoday #mentalhealthisimportant #momtherapy #momsthatthrive #lifeasamama #traumasurvivor #mamatraumatherapist

Made a choice and it was the wrong one? I've been there. I'm Jenna, a licesmnswd clinical social worker and mom. We are so bombarded with information about what to do as parents. Its a struggle to know what is best for you. Sometimes we make a choice and there are unintended consequences. It happens! It doesn't mean you're not competent or you're a bad parent. It is part of life. You just have to make a decision and tell yourself it will be ok. Each "wrong" decision ke...eps growing and learning. Have you ever made a "wrong" decision? I once decided to dye my hair on a trip. It ended up being three different colors and I looked like a clown. No worries, I was able to fix it with a quick trip to the beauty supply store. #selfcompassion #parentingishard #mombrain #maternalmentalhealth #momtherapy #momssupportingmoms #momtherapy #selflove #selfacceptance #makemistakes #mistakesarelessons ##parenthood #learningeveryday #lifeasamama #postpartumjourney #postpartumhealth #liveyourtruth
