On behalf of the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education, we send a big congratulations to RUSD Superintendent Dr. Avila for earning the Superintenden...t of the Year Award from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 12. Dr. Avila was honored during a virtual ceremony tonight, where he was supported by many from throughout the RUSD. He was deservedly nominated by Student Services. Thank you, Dr. Avila, for your leadership in the RUSD, including during some of the most challenging times, since March.

7th Graders, make sure to head over to Jehue next week on December 8th or 9th to pick up your Math Workbook: Volume 2. The library will be open from 8am to 3:30pm (closed for lunch 12-12:30pm). Bring your ID/Face masks are required. Make it happen, Jaguars!

On behalf of the Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Avila, the Rialto Unified School District sends congratulations to Eisenhower High School (Rialto, Ca...lifornia) alumnus, Mr. Adewale (Wally) Adeyemo, for being nominated to be the Deputy Treasury Secretary by President-elect Joe Biden. Adeyemo graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1999. He also graduated from UC Berkeley and has a law degree from Yale University. He is currently the President of the Obama Foundation. Soar high Eagles!

Jehue will be hosting a can food drive. Start looking around your house for cans to donate or the next time you’re at the grocery store pick up an extra can. You’ll be able to drop it off November 13th

BREAKING NEWS: RUSD officials just spoke to Santa to confirm the Christmas spirit is still alive and well. We were a little concerned given all that 202...0 has given us, but we are happy to report that the man in the red suit assured us it is! And you can share in the joy of the season by donating to Superintendent Dr. Avila’s Toy Drive! If you wish to donate, please bring a new and unwrapped toy to the Dr. John R. Kazalunas Education Center (182 E. Walnut Ave. Rialto) or the Chavez/Huerta Center for Education (324 N. Palm Ave. Rialto) until December 8th. Please see flyer for details. Thank you for helping us spread some holiday cheer!

Jehue community we have a great opportunity for your whole family: the Central City Community Health Center Mobile Unit flyer. This unit is only for the uninsured and services the whole family. The mobile unit will be in the Jehue parking lot on November 16th and will provide family health and TDAP. The company requests that the families make appointments so they know how many immunizations to bring. Please see the flyer attached for dates and times. We will have another TDAP only clinic that will service 7th graders on November 12th and 13th Jehue respectively and this is for any student, with or without insurance. Parents will not be billed. All clinics are free to Rialto families.

On December 9th we will be hosting another Coffee with the Principal. The topic will be about learning options for the second semester. This is a great way to get any of your questions answered ( swipe right to see in Spanish)

We are having an AAPAC meeting (online) this Tuesday. The meeting will be Tuesday 11/3/2020 at 6:15 to 7:15 pm. The agenda and meeting link will be posted on the school website. There will also be a time during the meeting to vote for committee members!

JMS - AAPAC meeting is Tuesday 12/1/2020 @ 6:15 pm on ZOOM. All are welcome to join the meeting. The agenda is attached to this message. Parents a great workshop is available to you! iReady is the district assessment your student takes 3 times a year! The district is offering a workshop ( one in English & and in Spanish) that overs over exactly what iReady is. Your student will be taking another iReady assessment when we return from winter break! Don’t miss out on this great event!

This Wednesday you’ll have an opportunity to shout out a friend, teacher, or staff member that has helped you through a tough time. Be sure to look at our story and always remember to never bully anyone

Did you know there is student support? Each teacher has A designated meet time to work with your student. This is a great time for your student to join their google meet as it is typically low amounts of students! Please discuss this option with your student! Report cards will be mailed out later this week!
