Today is a bittersweet day, I sold my listing on 2852 A Street! It wasn’t a normal listing, it was one of my mom’s rental properties, which also happens to be where we used to live when I was a child, until 1972. My parents purchased the house in 1962, and it has been in the family for 58 years. It brings many fond memories to us, especially my mom. My parents raised the family there for several years, my two sisters, me and my brother. We were just kids. We had great time...s, birthday parties, holiday and family gatherings. Enjoyed summertimes and homemade ice cream and our huge swing set in the front yard and playing tag, it was a place where our friends would come to play. It was a good time, living was easy. It was hard at first for my mom to let go, remembering all the special memories that were made there. She was young with her small children. She says it seems like yesterday, where did time go? But she realized it was time to turn the chapter on this part of her life. After all, that’s life. The process of selling her house was a journey that started in early September of 2019 when we listed it. We had lots of people who loved it and wanted that cute little house with the large front yard, to be their own. Several offers came in, however we needed that perfect cash buyer. And twice we put it in escrow and twice it fell out. Finally after months of conversations and many interested buyers. In March I found my buyers!They were willing to go through all the ups and downs of the escrow along with the CoronaVirus, and having to extend the escrow twice. After 3 months of challenges, we finally closed. They love the house! Here is a picture of my 89 year old mother at the house on the front porch and a picture of the buyers. I’m so grateful that God sent these wonderful buyers to me and now they can enjoy the house with their family. Wishing you much happiness Avila family!
